Inside a Historic Navajo Nation Leadership Visit

Creative Direction · Field Production · Communications Support

The Navajo Nation is the largest sovereign Indigenous nation in the United States, governed by its own executive, legislative, and judicial branches. At the center of its executive leadership is the President, an elected office that represents hundreds of thousands of Diné citizens across a land base stretching through Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. Visits from national presidential campaigns are extremely uncommon, and large scale political events on Navajo land are historically rare.

The Nygren administration brought me in to create the official recap film for a milestone moment. The Walz campaign became the first national presidential campaign to hold an event of this size on Navajo land, and the administration needed accurate, respectful documentation along with creative and logistical support.

I supported the advance team in their preparation for the visit. An advance team oversees every operational detail prior to a principal’s arrival including staging, site layout, timing, communications, security coordination, and movement planning. My role spanned creative direction, field production, administrative assistance, and technical support during on site planning at Veterans Memorial Park.

To help drive turnout across dispersed Navajo communities, I produced and launched a digital ad under a tight deadline that reached tens of thousands of people. I also wrote and published a newspaper advertisement in the Navajo Times, which further elevated awareness.

Safety planning was strengthened by the work of Alex Greenstein, who brings experience supporting the Navajo Nation and presidential level security teams within military explosive ordnance and protective environments. He worked with the advance team and Secret Service to ensure safe movement for President Buu Nygren, Senator Mark Kelly, Governor Tim Walz, and respected Navajo leaders including Joe Shirley Jr.

I directed and produced the official highlight film, which received high praise from George Hardeen, the last living relative of Harry Houdini and former Communications Director for the Navajo Nation, who described it as the best video the Nation has produced in years.

Navajo Nation Presidential Media “Think For The Future” Initiative

Creative Direction · Field Production · Documentary Capture

I was requested to film President Buu Nygren during the Western Navajo Fair as he met with families who had recently been connected to electricity, running water, and sewer systems. For many of these families, this was the first time in their lives that basic utilities had ever reached their homes. Documenting these moments provided a rare opportunity to show the real world impact of long term infrastructure investment on Diné communities.

The President focused on themes of sovereignty, equity, and the importance of giving Navajo families the same essential services that most Americans take for granted. His message emphasized how ARPA funded infrastructure projects are reshaping daily life for thousands of Diné people, and how expanding access to power and water strengthens the long term self sufficiency of the Navajo Nation.

My role involved full on site production including cinematography, interviews, environmental coverage, and capturing authentic, unscripted moments with community members. I worked to create visual storytelling that honored cultural values and presented each family with respect and dignity. Many of the people we met had waited years for basic utilities, and the emotional weight of these connections was central to the story. My goal was to portray these scenes with honesty and care, allowing viewers to understand not just the physical changes, but the personal transformation that comes with improved access to water and power.

This project reflected President Nygren’s vision for Think For The Future, a philosophy centered on accountability, community investment, and long term planning for the Navajo Nation. The work highlighted how ARPA infrastructure funding is reaching real families and creating meaningful improvements in daily life. In producing this documentary style piece, I focused on accurate representation, cultural integrity, and human centered storytelling rooted in lived experience.

Inside an Arkana Partner Story: Raising Family Ready Goldendoodles in Austin

Creative Direction · Field Production · Brand Storytelling

As Creative Director for Arkana, I lead all partner media production across the country. My role includes developing story concepts, directing on site shoots, shaping partner narratives, and producing short form films that highlight the mission and values behind the businesses we support. This project is one of our most engaging partner stories and showcases the kind of thoughtful, community centered content we create to elevate Arkana partners.

For this feature, I visited ATX Waterloo Doodles in Austin to document how one woman owned program prepares puppies for life beyond the litter. My objective was to create an Arkana branded partner piece that felt warm, authentic, and emotionally driven while still highlighting the care and ethics behind the operation. Arkana uses these partner stories to build trust, showcase responsible facilities, and help future pet owners feel confident in the people raising their animals.

The video follows Morgan as she guides the pups through early socialization and transition routines with help from Cooper, her gentle older companion dog. I focused on capturing close interactions, behind the scenes moments, and the quiet structure that helps these dogs grow into confident family pets. The storytelling approach was simple and honest. No staged shots, no contrived setups. Just day to day work that reflects the heart of an ethical program.

A special thank you goes to Kaitlyn, the founder of Waterloo Doodles, whose transparency and compassion set the tone for the entire filming experience. Waterloo is more than a breeding operation. It is a thoughtful environment designed to prepare family members, not just puppies.

The final piece was produced, edited, and released under Arkana’s media channels and quickly became one of our highest performing partner features, generating strong engagement and reinforcing Arkana’s mission to support ethical, community oriented pet businesses.

Creating a Viral Ad That Drove 35,000 Views on a $30 Budget

Creative Direction · AI Production · Paid Media Strategy

Discover the Pet Influencer Boom with Arkana!

♬ original sound - Alex | Pet Insurance & Info

This video is a strong example of the unconventional and highly effective creative work I produce for Arkana. As Creative Director, part of my role is to create performance driven short form content that increases brand awareness, drives quote volume, and positions Arkana at the center of cultural conversations around pet ownership and pet insurance.

For this piece, I built a fully fictional viral trend entirely through AI and storytelling. The concept was simple and bold. I created a fake TikTok meme where pet owners claimed they saved so much money on vet bills through Arkana that their dogs were suddenly buying luxury items and living outrageous lifestyles. The goal was to mimic the speed, tone, and humor of real TikTok trends while maintaining Arkana’s brand voice.

The video opens with a TikTok style influencer giving a fast breakdown of the supposed viral trend. From there, it cuts into a series of quick, humorous clips of dogs buying convertibles, jet skis, designer bags, gaming rigs, private flights, and even hiring chefs. Every single clip was created through AI and designed to look like it came from dozens of different pet influencers around the platform. None of these accounts or trends existed in the real world. The entire meme was built from scratch.

This creative experiment worked extremely well. With roughly thirty dollars in ad spend on TikTok, the ad reached more than thirty five thousand views and generated strong engagement, saves, comments, and shares. Viewers responded as if the meme were real, which validated the realism of the AI production and the strength of the concept.

My work on this ad involved concept development, AI image and video creation, voice scripting, editing, sound design, and paid media optimization. The goal was to create an Arkana branded piece that blended humor, authenticity, and trend literacy in a way that felt native to TikTok and stood out from traditional insurance marketing.

This project demonstrates my ability to use AI creatively, understand platform culture, shape fictional narratives that feel real, and deliver high performing content on small budgets.

Gary Sinise Foundation’s First Responders Campaign

Production Assistant · Cinematography Support · Field Operations

This project is a strong example of my on set production experience and my ability to support a full crew during a fast moving commercial shoot. I worked as a Production Assistant on a video created for the Gary Sinise Foundation in partnership with Josh Cellars. The video highlighted the First Responders Outreach Program and featured Helmet Peak Fire Department located in Sahuarita, AZ as one of the grant recipients. The campaign aimed to raise funding for first responder organizations across the United States.

My responsibilities included location scouting, coordinating with firefighters on site, running gear between setups, mounting GoPros, managing lenses, keeping batteries charged and swapped, and supporting the cinematography team during active shooting. I also helped capture b roll footage and assisted with scene transitions, equipment resets, and set duties throughout the day. Projects like this require a strong mix of awareness, communication, and physical endurance, especially when shooting in active fire station environments.

Working directly with firefighters added a unique layer of coordination. We filmed around active equipment, live demonstrations, and operational vehicles, which required precision and constant communication with both the crew and the fire department. I supported the team by helping secure safe shooting areas, clearing paths for equipment, and making sure the cinematographers always had the right gear ready for quick changes.

The final video promoted the Josh Cellars September campaign, where one dollar from each bottle sold would support the Gary Sinise Foundation First Responders Outreach Program. The combined message and production gave visibility to local departments like Helmet Peak Fire and helped highlight the tangible impact of the foundation’s support.

This project reflects my ability to work professionally on branded sets, support larger crews, collaborate with talent and real world subjects, and maintain a strong production workflow in demanding environments. Thanks to Travis Wurges for bringing me onto this project.

Building a Fully AI Generated Character for Viral Pet Content

AI Video Production · AI Voice Dubbing · Trend Driven Creative Direction

@drdogdaily Flat-faced dog breeds like pugs and bulldogs are prone to overheating — especially in hot weather. This project highlights my ability to create fully AI powered short form content that blends entertainment, education, and brand storytelling. I developed this Dr. Dog video as part of Arkana’s social content series, using an entirely AI generated workflow for character animation, dialogue, and voice dubbing, with manual creative editing to refine pacing, timing, and final narrative flow.

For this piece, Dr. Dog explains why flat faced dog breeds such as pugs and bulldogs are more prone to overheating. The concept mixes humor with real pet safety guidance, using a style that feels native to TikTok and Instagram Reels. The comedic exchange between Dr. Dog and the guest character helps keep retention high while delivering information pet owners actually need.

My workflow involved scripting the sequence, generating character performances through AI tools, applying AI based voice dubbing for both Dr. Dog and the guest character, and assembling the final edit with short form, trend aware pacing. I designed the visuals to feel like a playful, animated reaction skit while maintaining enough structure to communicate an educational message about heat exhaustion and emergency preparedness.

The result is a fully AI produced content piece that aligns with Arkana’s brand voice and performs well organically across social channels. Projects like this demonstrate my ability to leverage artificial intelligence for large scale content creation, develop characters that resonate with audiences, respond to platform trends, and deliver high quality, shareable videos with a streamlined production pipeline.

Aerial Cinematography for Films, Music Videos, and Commercial Projects

Drone Cinematography · Aerial Visuals · Music Video Production

I served as the drone cinematographer for LA Edwards’ music video “El Camino,” directed by Andrew Van Baal and filmed on Mt. Lemmon in Tucson, Arizona. My work centered on capturing aerial sequences that shaped the visual tone, blending wide mountain vistas with intentful, expressive movement that matched the energy of the track.

I worked closely with the director to design aerial movements that lifted the narrative and anchored the band’s performance within the mountain landscape. Mt. Lemmon’s sharp elevation changes, narrow ridge lines, shifting light, and unpredictable weather created both creative opportunities and technical challenges. Every flight required precision, terrain awareness, and the ability to adapt in real time while keeping the motion smooth and cinematic.

My responsibilities included scouting the location, planning flight paths, managing drone operations on uneven ground, and matching aerial movement to musical rhythm. The goal was to give the video scale, atmosphere, and emotional presence that ground cameras could not achieve on their own.

The final video places aerial cinematography at the center of its storytelling language. The work demonstrates my ability to support complex creative productions, operate safely in demanding mountain environments, and deliver cinematic drone footage that aligns with a director’s vision and the overall aesthetic of the project.

Aerial Inspiration: Filming Jessica Cox for Nas Daily’s Viral Feature

Cinematography · Talent Direction · Social Storytelling

This short-form clip is one of the strongest examples of my ability to work with high profile talent while producing emotionally impactful social content for a global audience. I served as a primary cinematographer on a feature created for Nas Daily, one of the largest storytelling channels in the world.

Nas Daily is a global media brand known for fast paced, inspirational, 1 minute style videos that reach millions of viewers every day. The platform highlights extraordinary people and relies on strong visuals, clear narrative flow, and highly engaging talent driven storytelling

For this piece, I helped film the story of Jessica Cox. Jessica was born without arms and has become one of the most inspiring figures on the planet. She flies airplanes with her feet, drives, plays piano, makes coffee, uses her phone, mails her ballot, and performs countless daily tasks through creative adaptation. She is an international speaker and disability rights advocate, and directing her on camera requires sensitivity, precision, and trust.

My role included on site cinematography, directing talent, capturing detailed action shots, and shaping the visual language of the piece. I focused on cinematic framing that highlighted her confidence, skill, and independence while maintaining a respectful, human centered approach. Working with Jessica demanded clarity, communication, and a steady production rhythm, and this project remains one of my strongest examples of professional talent collaboration.

The final video performed exceptionally well. It earned more than 249,000 likes and over 4,411,162 views, making it one of the top performing inspirational pieces for Nas Daily in 2022. The film continues to circulate across their platforms as a standout short story.

This project demonstrates my ability to operate at a high level within fast social production timelines, collaborate with internationally recognized talent, and deliver visual storytelling that performs at scale.
